Terms and Booking Conditions

These Terms and Booking Conditions apply to all bookings made with A N Escapes LTD, trading as escapetosrilanka.co.uk (“we”, “us”, “our”). By proceeding with a booking, you agree to be bound by the following terms.

2. Our Role as Agent

We act solely as an agent between you (the customer) and the providers of accommodation, tours, transfers, and other travel services (“the Providers”). When you make a booking, your contract is directly with the Provider, not with A N Escapes LTD.

We do not own, operate, or control the accommodation, transportation, excursions, or any other services featured. Our responsibility is limited to arranging your booking and facilitating communication between you and the Provider.

3. Booking and Payment

  • You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking.

  • A non-refundable deposit may be required to confirm your booking. The remaining balance must be paid by the date specified in your booking confirmation.

  • All prices are in GBP and are subject to availability and confirmation.

  • A booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us on behalf of the Provider.

4. Your Contract with the Provider

  • When you book, you enter into a legally binding agreement with the Provider, subject to their own terms and conditions.

  • You are responsible for reviewing and accepting the Provider’s terms, including rules regarding cancellations, amendments, check-in/out times, facilities, and conduct.

  • We will supply booking confirmations, invoices, and any documentation on the Provider’s behalf.

5. Cancellations and Amendments

  • All cancellations and changes are subject to the terms of the Provider.

  • Cancellation charges or amendment fees imposed by the Provider will apply and are outside our control.

  • Requests for cancellations or amendments must be submitted in writing. We will do our best to assist, but we cannot guarantee changes once a booking is confirmed.

6. Provider Changes or Cancellation

  • In the rare event a Provider cancels or alters a service you have booked, we will make reasonable efforts to secure an alternative arrangement or facilitate a refund according to the Provider’s policy.

  • While we confirm bookings in good faith, we cannot be held responsible if a Provider cancels, alters, or fails to honour a confirmed service without informing us in advance.

  • We will, however, do our best to notify you promptly and assist in finding a suitable alternative based on the information available to us at the time.

7. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking. This should include cover for cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, lost luggage, and other potential travel-related issues.

8. Travel Requirements

It is your responsibility to ensure you meet all entry, visa, passport, and health requirements for travel to Sri Lanka. No refunds will be issued if you are unable to travel due to non-compliance with these requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • We are not responsible for the performance, standard, or delivery of services by Providers. Any complaints, claims, or disputes must be directed to the Provider.

  • We accept no liability for losses, damages, injuries, delays, or dissatisfaction resulting from the services arranged.

  • Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the booking services.

10. Complaints Procedure

  • If you encounter any issues during your trip, you must raise them directly with the Provider immediately so they have the opportunity to resolve the problem.

  • If unresolved, please notify us as soon as possible, and we will assist where we can — although our role is limited as an agent.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, or other events beyond our control.

12. Jurisdiction

These terms and all disputes arising from your booking are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal action will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
